After doing all the quilting and sewing for others in December, I decided to treat myself. Al was working Saturday so I wandered off round the various quilting and sewing shops within my local area. I am looking for a new machine, my one was kindly given to me by my friend Becky. It is a Toyota from the early 80's and sews beautifully, but looking at all the shops I have machine envy. We are going to a large sewing machine shop in High Wycombe on Saturday and I can't wait.
While looking at all the shops that I can think of that sell machines, I of course allowed my eyes to wander over all the lovely material, I could spend soooo much money it is scary! Anyway, I treated myself to a jelly roll in nice bright fabrics but now I am stuck what pattern to use. Any suggestions would be very welcome!
I am also going to sew a quilt for my niece who is getting married in August, she would like it in earthy tones of brown and cream so I am looking at blocks for that too. I could look at quilt patterns for hours!!!

Have fun with your new machine when you get it. How exciting! You can see a really easy jelly roll quilt pattern here:
