Stupid Pimms!

After the high of earlier in the week I have come down to earth with a bang! Wednesday, we went round to Em's as K needed to borrow some of D's dinosaurs for a science project at school. We did not get back until nearly 6 and K has Sea Cadets at 7, and I have Zumba at 7.30 so for convenience's sake we ordered a pizza. This would not normally be a problem as I can account for it in my weekly points. However, because I had pizza so close to Zumba time, I could not go at it with my normal gusto and I felt somewhat deflated.

The worst was yet to come, yesterday we had a works summer lunch as one of the directors is leaving. I had pimms and caesar salad and cheesecake and more pimms and then because I had drunk alcohol I could have eaten K when I got home! To top it all, thanks to the rain I could not even go out on my C25K run last night!

The upshot of all this excess is that I have put on half a pound. Things will be better this week as I am determined that this half will go and take a couple of its little friends with it!

We have a Rogation service on Sunday, it will be different this year as we are joining up with a couple of other churches and having it on a farm in the next village to our church. I will be doing a short reading from Genesis and it should be really nice. Our Vicar is also going to ask K why she wants to be confirmed in a couple of weeks. I am proud of my girl as she is going to say that she sees it as a way to deepen her faith and to remake the promises made for her as a baby.

Once she we have been to church we have got to shoot of back into town as she is taking part in a local fayre with her Sea Cadets. It is all go in the Tawny household!

The way you need to look at it is: in the past, you would have done that AND not done zumba at all or c25K so look how far you have come.

Not every week, but cut yourself some slack

I'm with Jen. It's all relative. You have to compare to what you would have done not could have done. There has to be a balance or it won't be sustainable. You are doing well xx
