So there I was, Sunday afternoon trundling up the M6 to Manchester. My lovely sat nav took me straight to the hotel where I settled in and enjoyed a lovely caesar salad and profiteroles (all within daily and weeklies). All the time in the back of my head I was wondering 'what if I don't get on with her?' 'what if she doesn't like me?'. I was waiting for Hyper Haggis. A group of us were meeting up for a shopping trip in the Trafford Centre and HH and I were sharing a room.
Anyway, she arrived with Hoopylass, so we dropped Hoopy at her hotel across town and we went back to the hotel. We started to talk, started to laugh and that was it. We had a brilliant night talking about anything and everything.
The next day, we met up with Auntie Ali and StrawbsnCream and took the Trafford Centre by storm! We all got on like a house on fire, I have never been on shopping trip that is such fun. Usually I end up really despondent after about an hour but yesterday was fab! HH had her huge NSV when she fitted in a size 16 dress and we were so pleased we were there to share it with her.
We had a lovely lunch in Pesto, even if the waiter was very rude, we felt justified in not leaving a tip and complaining to the Manager, nobody messes with us girlies. The 5 of us did not stop talking and laughing all day and I was so pleased I went. I feel renewed and refreshed and totally inspired. Roll on the next trip!
