I am back!

You may well have noticed my absence. Nothing was wrong I just had a bit of writers block and took some time out. I have decided once again to do something about my weight. I know, I know I have tried before but on 1st March I decided to bite the bullet and join Weight Watchers. My starting weight actually made me cry and I have decided I will never ever be that weight again. I am 7 weeks in now and have lost 14.75lbs. I am really pleased and have thrown myself whole heartedly into the plan. There is a blog feature on the site and I have been writing the odd post there so I thought I would post here too. I actually felt guilty as this started off as a parenting blog, but I figure it is my blog and I can post what I want to.

Here is my latest post from WW and I promise to update here more often.

Do you know what, some people on here have a lot to answer for. They are so blooming inspiring you just want to emulate them all the time! Take exercise for example, you read on blogs and on the boards that people are going to aquafit, aerobics, dance classes, jazzercise, zumba and heaven knows what else. I had been toying with the idea or zumba for a while and my WW friends said it was great fun and I would enjoy it. Not really believing them but being pretty open minded I booked in for a class on Saturday and went along not expecting to really like it.

I LOVED IT! Yes I was the biggest in the class by far but no one looked down their noses at me. Yes I couldn't keep up and kind of did my own thing in parts. Yes I found it difficult to keep up but I kept trying and finally YES I sweat like a demon and was knackered at the end of it. It was however so worth it, I felt really amazing afterwards like I had taken another step on this walk.

So all of you who have doubts, go on, do it, what have you got to lose except inches!

Well done on your weight loss! I know you have to be in the right frame of mind to take on something like that and it can get difficult after the initial euphoria of losing some weight, but stick at it. The zumba sounded great!
